Painful Toothache

If you have a toothache, the cause is , most likely a cavity which became eroded and penetrated to the nerve (the dental pain can be excruciating). If the toothache is very severe and painkillers do not offer any relief, call us immediately for an immediate dental emergency appointment (if we are available during our normal office hours. Please call us to confirm emergency dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours). Dental toothache symptoms can vary from mild to severe dental pain. Sensitivity to the tooth can occur when biting hard, or eating/drinking something hot or cold. Our emergency dentist may suggest dental treatment based on whether it was caused by trauma, an old dental filling, or tooth decay. The patient may need an emergency dental surgery to relief the dental pain.

Fractured or Knocked Out Tooth

If you fracture a tooth, call us right away for an emergency dental appointment (if we are available during our normal office hours. Please call us to confirm dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours). In the meantime, we suggest you to rinse your mouth with warm water and use an ice pack or cold compress to reduce dental swelling. If your tooth is knocked out, call us right away for an emergency dental appointment (if we are available during our normal office hours. Please call us to confirm dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours). In the meantime, do not touch the root of the tooth. The tooth must not dry out. Rinse the tooth in water and place the clean tooth in your mouth between the cheek and gum to keep it moist, or wrap the tooth in a clean cloth, or gauze and immerse it in milk. If a baby tooth is knocked out, the tooth should not be replanted back in the mouth. The patient should be seen as soon as possible by local emergency dentist to perform emergency dental work.

Loosened or Pushed Out of Position Tooth

If your tooth is loosened or pushed out of position, call us right away for an emergency dentist appointment (if we are available or during our normal office hours. Please call us to confirm dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours). In the meantime, we suggest you attempt to re-position it to its normal alignment using very light finger pressure without forcing it until you seek dental emergency treatment.

* Please note that we do not call in prescriptions for new patients without seeing them first. If emergency care is provided outside our office hours (Please call us to confirm dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours), services must be paid in full prior to insurance filing, since insurance cannot be verified over the weekend or after 5PM. We will refund fees that are paid by patients once paid by insurance. If you don’t have dental insurance, We offer CareCredit, to finance the care you need.

Please note that there is an after hours fee for services rendered outside our normal office hours (Please call us to confirm dentist availability for emergency dental care outside our normal office hours). Please check with your insurance first as most insurances do not cover after hours fee. All coupons are not valid for after-hours appointments.
